Hourglass Angel

At Hourglass Angel, we believe that customer service means community service. That’s why we are proud to offer our financial support to Windy City YouthBuild. This program provides GED preparedness classes and training in all forms of construction. This organization’s mission is ultimately to improve the long-term career prospects for parenting, court-involved, gang affiliated and generally disadvantaged young adults by increasing educational attainment and employment placement. The youth in this program not only have the opportunity to get hands on experience working on low-income housing, but are also certified through OSHA and the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), and earn a small stipend. This March, WCYB will celebrate their first graduation ceremony for the students, who would not otherwise be able to experience a high school graduation in the traditional sense. We are proud to support this tremendous milestone.
