I'm a skeptic, so I read through many of the reviews. After reading through what everyone had to say, I purchased one for myself. I have one child which left me with streaked skin on my stomach and newly found love handles :( I was also graced with an umbilical hernia, not serious enough for surgery but bad enough that I could exercise for almost 2 years. I've gone up and down trying to lost the last 10lbs or the baby weight but I could never lose the love handles, and eating right doesn't really help excess skin disappear.
When my band came in the mail, I thought there was no way it was going to fit, but with determination I made it work. Some other reviews said that it would take time to get used to before you could wear for 8-10 hours a day, but my second day I was comfortable enough to wear it that long. I've had it for about a month now, but I literally had results the first week. In my struggle to lose the handles and the new skinny jean trend I went up a size in pants to avoid the muffin top, but after the first week I was able to put my smaller size back on. I was IMPRESSED. I LOVE this product. I only have one issue with it, I'm tall with a long torso so I could use an extra 2-3" in length. But honestly I only regret not buying one sooner. -

To be honest, it should be very uncomfortable when you first put it on. 1-2 hours of wear should be just about all you can take the first day or so. You should gradually work up to using it 8-10 hours/day. Then when the band becomes comfortable, buy the next smaller size. You'll keep getting smaller. Use the old one as a workout band at the gym. And don't forget to wear it upside down to get even more compression on the lower abdominals. I love this product! Wish they'd bring back the solid latex though. It was much more hardcore! -

I have never written a review for a product before, but I felt it was necessary to do so for the ShapeBand. I gave it 5 stars in each category (yes, I even gave it 5 stars for comfort, I mean, nobody can really be comfortable when their stomach is being squeezed, but considering what the product is for, it is incredibly comfortable). I barely realize that I am wearing it now. I am a mother of 4 children, the eldest being only 5 years old, and the youngest 3.5 months old. So, I know how hard it is to get rid of pregnancy weight and get a waistline back. My husband actually researched the ShapeBand and ordered one for me as a surprise, and no, I was not offended at all...he knew how self-conscious I was about my post-pregnancy stomach, and it is one of the best things he could have bought me!! I have been wearing my ShapeBand for about 5 weeks. I have worn it everyday for at least 10 hours, and I have lost 3 inches from my waistline! I have not been doing anything else (i.e. dieting or exercising more)....I have just been wearing my ShapeBand!! I have not experienced any of the negative issues with the ShapeBand that others have been mentioning in their reviews, such as it having a foul odor after being worn a lot. I am almost ready to order the next smaller size, and I cannot wait to do so. I HIGHLY recommend this product!!! -

It's been more than a month that I've been wearing this band but nothing has changed. I had great expectations so I bought many dresses thinking that i could wear them after loosing some midsection fat but no, i am so sad. Can anyone help me out? -

I work in the Essense Building, so I got their magazine, and in the advertisements page I found the ShapeBand. It was exactly what I was looking for: a waist-slimmer that fits perfectly,is adjustable, and is just as comfortable as it is invisible underneath clothes. Although it's only been two days I have had it, I can already feel the results (it is also suppressing my stomach, therefore my appetite). I can't wait to wear it out this weekend and resemble royalty. -

I was referred by a family member to buy this shapeband. I am soooo happy that I did. It really works. The other stuff that I bought can not touch this at all! I will be buying the vest soon. Just in love with my shape again. -

I read the reviews, I bought one, I wore one for 30days...It did what it said it would. I went from 37inch waist to 35inch, both measurements without the band on. I am impressed. It smoothed everything out and never slipped or loosened. I even recommended to my own mother! Would certainly buy again...and just might now -

I bought the ShapeBand in 2006 and literally wore it daily with everything I wore and for everything I did. I ended buying the slimvest as well because it keeps the bra bulge in the back together. I ended up giving one to a friend and ultimately used the other to death and had to throw it away. Not until I found Hourglass Angel and that they sold it for a decent price did I purchase again. Back to my weightloss goal and planning on buying another one and keeping both for myself. :) Will definitely refer all my friends. Thanks Hourglass Angel! -

I LOVE my shapeband. It gives me an amazing hourglass look! The only downside is that you can't wear anything to thin with it because the lines will show, but overall I love it. I honestly don't wear it every day, but for all special events I love it! -

I've had this product (in nude) for almost 2 weeks and I believe it has salvaged my confidence for wearing pretty clothes! I used to be very thin as a teen through adult, but after turning 40, the pounds just keep coming on (probably from a daily medicine I take for a migraine condition). As a result, my slim figure has turned into a round, and unattractive one (IMO). After receiving the slimmer, I wore it everyday for approx. 8 hours a day and it has pulled my body back into the hour-glass it used to be, and I can already tell my waist is smaller; and a bonus is the fact that it supported my back after I had a bad fall and crunched my left ribs! I am still wearing the cincher everyday and fully expect to lose the 1 to 4 inches in a month's time.
